I received my first camera from my grandfather when I was 11. I saved up my allowance the following year to buy a Polaroid JoyCam. Since then, I have acquired a few more cameras but my child-like wonder and curiousity hasn’t changed. I still get the same heart palpitations while I wait for an instant photo to magically appear and the nervous excitement still hits when I peel open the envelop of prints from the local photo store. We are in the digital age now, and as happily as I’ve adopted my Nikon DSLR, I still can’t help but feel that film is the truest form of photography. The tactile, authentic, unaltered photography process is where my passion lies. I hope that through this blog I will be able to inspire others to delve into the dark and magical world of film.
